Body of Hiker Discovered Near Inspiration Point
Authorities say the hiker sustained fatal injuries from a fall from the steep trail.
A hiker walking near Inspiration Point in the Angeles National Forest discovered the body of a male hiker in a ravine below the trail Sunday, according to authorities.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department's Air 5 located the victim, a resident of Los Angeles, at around 1:20 p.m. They airlifted the body to Farnsworth Park in Altadena where the body was examined by the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office, according to the Sheriff's Department.
Authorities listed the preliminary cause of death as trauma sustained during a fall from the steep trail.
