The Altadena Sheriff's Station and nearby agencies responded to an attempted burglary Tuesday but could not find the suspect after a three-hour containment.

A man who attempted to break into a kitchen window at an Altadena home Tuesday is still at large after a search by several law enforcement officials, Altadena Sheriff’s Station Lieutenant Angela Shepherd told Patch Tuesday night.

The resident called the Altadena Sheriff Station at 4:25 p.m. to report that someone was trying to break into the window of the home at Calanda Avenue and Divirian Place.

Officials from the Altadena Sheriff Station, the Special Enforcement Bureau with two K-9 units and a helicopter from the Pasadena Police Department responded and contained the scene but were unable to locate the suspect after about three hours.
