Calls to Altadena Sheriff's to Go Directly to Station

After about a year of routing calls through the Crescenta Valley station, the Altadena station's business line is open for business again.

Calls to the Altadena Sheriff's Station (626-798-1131) will now be routed directly to that station rather than to the Crescenta Valley station, according to Lt. Joe Dempsey of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The calls had been routed through Crescenta Valley for about the last year during a renovation of the Altadena station.

Difficulty with dispatchers and other issues surrounding phone calls to the police was a source of concern for some residents, and was of the Altadena Coalition of Neighborhood Associations in May.
