Crime Blotter: Burglaries, Petty Theft

A week in crime in Altadena

Crime blotter information provided by Michael A. White of the Altadena Sheriff's Station.

Friday, June 22nd 
Between 4:30 PM and 2:20 PM, Monday – A commercial burglary occurred at Elliot Middle School, 2184 N. Lake Av. Suspect(s) entered the location by removing a glass panel. Loss: black Dell monitor, black Dell hard-drive.

Sunday, June 24th 
Between 10:00 PM and 1:30 PM, Monday –  A vehicle burglary occurred in the 50-blk of W. Mountain View St. Suspect(s) entered the motor home via unknown means. Loss: currency.


Monday, June 25th 
Between 11:30 AM and 2:15 PM – A residential burglary occurred in the 2200-blk of Maiden Ln. Suspect(s) entered the location by removing the window screen. Loss: gray MacBook, black iPad, black Canon camera.
Between 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 2500-blk of Washington Blvd. Suspect entered the vehicle by shattering the driver’s side window. Loss: Pioneer car stereo system.

Between 8:30 PM and 11:00 AM, Tuesday – A petty theft from an unlocked vehicle occurred in the 700-blk of E. Pine St. Loss: vehicle owner’s manual to a 07’ BMW.

Tuesday, June 26th 
Between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM, Wednesday – A residential burglary occurred in the 1300-blk of Grand Oaks Av. Suspect(s) entered the residence by shattering the rear window. Loss: silver Mac computer, black and chrome Stanton record player.

Thursday, June 28th 
Between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM – A petty theft occurred in the 500-blk of W. Palm St. Loss: antique brass metal lamp w/yellow and tan lamp shade, black/silver electric skillet. 
Between 7:00 PM and 6:30 AM, Friday – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 2100-blk of N. Summit Av. Suspect(s) entered the vehicle by shattering the passenger side window. Loss: black/gray GPS. 

Saturday, June 30th 
2:00 PM A residential burglary occurred in the 500-blk of Colman St. The victim who was home at the time observed a male, Hispanic, 30-35, 505, 140, nylon mask, white t-shirt, black gloves; standing outside of the residence near the bedroom window. The suspect then proceeded to cut the lower portion of the window screen and quickly fled the area when he observed the victim. Suspect last seen northbound from the location. Loss: none.
