Crime Blotter: Residential, Vehicle Burglaries

A week in crime in Altadena

Blotter information provided by Lt. Michael White of the Altadena Sheriff's Station.

Sunday, July 1

Between 8:30 PM and 8:00 AM (Monday) – A petty theft from an unlocked vehicle occurred in the 1000-blk of Shelley St.  Loss:  black cooler grill.

Monday, July 2

12:45 PM – An attempt residential burglary occurred in the 1900-blk of E. Washington Blvd.  The victim heard noises from the rear of the residence and observed (3) males removing the sliding glass door screen.  A short time later, deputies responded to the area and detained (3) subjects.  Loss:  none.

Between 4:45 PM and 5:45 PM – A vehicle burglary occurred at 24Hr. Fitness, 2180 N. Lincoln Av.  Suspect(s) entered the vehicle by shattering the front passenger window.  Loss:  green leather Kate Spade purse, red vinyl wallet, green Verizon storm cell phone, brown Coach briefcase. 

Wednesday, July 4

Between 2:30 PM and 7:00 AM (Thursday) – A residential burglary occurred in the 2100-blk of Marengo Av. Suspect(s) entered the location by prying the side door.  Loss:  gray Hitachi jack hammer, gray laser level, blue/yellow Dewalt skill saw, blue/black/yellow Dewalt saw, black/yellow Dewalt grinder, gold Hitachi nail gun.

4:21 PM – A petty theft occurred at All Star Liquor, 2421 Lincoln Av.  Suspect male black, 25-35 yrs, 602, 240, black t-shirt, fatigue shorts, entered the location and retrieved a case of beer.  Suspect last seen in the area of Figueroa Dr. Loss: (1) case of Budweiser. 

Between 9:00 PM and 5:30 AM (Thursday) – A vehicle vandalism occurred in the 400-blk of W. Mariposa St. 

Thursday, July 5

Between 2:00 AM and 11:00 AM – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 1700-blk of Atchison St.  Suspect(s) entered the vehicle by prying the driver’s side window.  Loss: black Sony Explode stereo amplifier, silver iPod. 

Friday, July 6

Between 12:30 PM and 12:41 PM – A residential burglary occurred in the 2900-blk of Maiden Ln.  Suspect entered the residence by shattering a window.  Suspect described as a male black, 17-18 yrs, 508, 140, white t-shirt, dark shorts, black backpack.  The suspect was observed exiting a silver Infinity or a vehicle similar and later walking eastbound on Maiden Ln.  Loss: none.

Lisa I am actually holding back, because my comment was up front for two days, and I don't want toRead More look like a hog. As for user friendly....well, maybe. But as with any major revamp, after the foreign feel to navigating, usually the new way feels comfortable eventually. I am not sure either way yet.
