Dead Man Found on Trail Still a Mystery

It has been almost two weeks since a man was found dead on an Altadena trail but details as to what or who exactly caused his death are still unknown.

in the 3800 block of Canon Boulevard around 8:14 a.m. on Feb. 16.

While it was originally reported that Nieto had been shot in the head, Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau Detective David Gunner declined to tell Crimescene Blog Thursday if that was true and other officials were mum, citing an ongoing investigation.

Since the incident, Patch has tried on a few occasions to contact officials at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau that were apparently handling the case but officials were unavailable and did not return phone messages.
