Deputies Investigating Fatality Crash on Angeles Crest

Deputies from the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station and California Highway Patrol officers are investigating a deadly crash on Angeles Crest Highway.

Not much information is available, but the California Highway Patrol was able to confirm that the fatality crash happened at mile marker 41.31. Officers were dispatched at 4:23 p.m., said an officer with the Traffic Management Center.

The vehicle was described as a white Toyota vehicle and is registered out of Lancaster, said Lieutenant Angela Shepherd of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station.

Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Homicide Bureau will be investigating the death. The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office was also summoned to the crash scene, Shepherd said.

According to Sheriff's broadcast traffic, the vehicle may be a white Toyota Yaris and is about 400 feet down the mountain road. Homicide Bureau investigators and the Coroner's Office will arrive in the morning to retrieve the body.
