Detectives Looking for Altadena Connection to Sunday Night Shooting in Pasadena

The Pasadena Police Department has not determined whether the shooting is related to Saturday night's fatal shooting in Altadena yet, but they are investigating the connection.

A 44-year-old man was shot and wounded in the 200 block of Pepper Street on Sunday night, according to Lt. Rodney Wallace of the Pasadena Police Department.

The man was treated and then released from a local hospital after the shooting.

Wallace said that detectives are investigating whether the shooting is related to on Saturday night.

"There is reason to believe it [is connected to the Altadena shooting], but there is no hard evidence," Wallace said.

The Altadena shooting on Saturday happened in the 300 block of W. Palm Street, and according to neighbors, happened after or during a party in the area.

Multiple sources have identified the victim as a John Muir High School student and football player, but authorities have not released the name of the victim at this time.
