Update: Elderly Man Missing in Altadena

The Sheriff's Department is seeking the public's help in locating a 72-year-old man who has gone missing.

Los Angeles County Sherrif's Department released a photo of Johnny Burton, last seen departing his Altadena home on Feb. 2. Burton is still missing.

A 72-year-old man was missing today in Altadena, and the public's help was sought to find him.

Johnny Burton was last seen around 11 a.m. Thursday leaving his home in the 2800 block of El Nido Drive, said Detective Tamar Abraham of the sheriff's missing persons unit.

Burton is black, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 155 pounds. He is missing most of his teeth and was last seen wearing a yellow long-sleeve shirt, jeans, black jacket and black boots.

Authorities said Burton is occasionally forgetful and is easily confused. They urged anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the sheriff's missing person detail at (323) 890-5500.
