Around noon, an 18-year old hiker, male, fell appoximately 100 feet from a trail in Eaton Canyon. Injuries appear to be compound fractures to the hip; two parametics assisted with the rescue.
The rescue, a collaborative effort between Altadena Search and Rescue and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Air Rescue 5, airlifted the hiker to a local hospital.
