High Wind Watch in Effect Starting Wednesday Night

Altadena and other Southern California communities could see steady winds of 40 mph and gusts of up to 60 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Southern California could experience strong Santa Ana winds starting as soon as Wednesday night and lasting through Friday night, according to the National Weather Service.

The winds are predicted to be as high as 40 mph, with 60 mph gusts, enough to "topple trees and power lines" and "blow over unsecured outdoor objects" and "create hazardous cross winds for higher profile vehicles," according to the National Weather Service.

Cities across Los Angeles County are listed as falling under warning, including those of the San Gabriel Valley.

While Wednesday is forecast to continue to have unseasonably warm weather, the forecast for Thursday and Friday and Altadena is much colder, with a high of 59 degrees predicted for Thursday, and a high of 58 predicted for Friday.
