A hiker who was stuck on the side of a cliff was airlifted to safety Wednesday afternoon, according to Deputy Charles Youngstrom of the Altadena Sheriff's Station.
The hiker was uninjured, but called for help after climbing in the area above the first waterfall, he said.
Ground units and a helicopter reported to the scene around receiving the call ay 1:42 p.m, according to Inspector Quovondo Johnson of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
According to police scanner traffic, the helicopter rescued the hiker shortly after 2:20 p.m. He was dropped at the Aveson Charter School campus, according to Youngstrom.
