Updated: House Fire on McNally Avenue, One Transported to Hospital as Precaution

Updated 2:10 p.m: The person transported to the hospital was taken as a precaution as a result of heavy anxiety resulting from the fire, according to Alan Bursey, a paramedic with County Fire station 47 in Temple City.

An officer at Station 11 in Altadena noted that the Temple City paramedic units responded because the closer units in Station 11 were in the midst of transporting another patient when the call came in.

Update 12:56 p.m:
One person was transported to Huntington Hospital, according to Supervisor Bernard Peters of the County Fire Department.  He said he was uncertain what the extent and severity of the person's injuries are.

The fire started in the garage and was reported at 12:13 p.m, Peters said. It was put out at 12:31 p.m.

Update 12:40 p.m:
Chaney Trail resident Lori Paul sent out an email indicating firefighters are at the scene - she notes white smoke is coming from the house now, whereas moments earlier it was black smoke.

Original: The Los Angeles County Fire Department has responded to a house fire at 3515 McNally Avenue in Altadena, according to the department's Twitter account.

The fire is burning in the home and the garage, according to the tweet.
