LASD's Altadena Station to Host Disaster Preparation Workshop

Ready or not, here it comes! The third in a series of presentations on disaster preparedness for the citizens of Altadena and surrounding areas.

When: Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Where: Altadena Community Center, 730 East Altadena Dr., next to the Sheriff’s station.

  • “When all your phones go down, we want you to have tools to communicate.” Nancee Darling, head of ALERT
  • Radios - FRS, GMRS, HAM, hands-on demonstrations 
  • Other ways to communicate 
  • Bring your radios, batteries and manual if you’d like help making them work 
  • Contact out-of-state people (bring contact info)
