Man Arrested for Burglary on El Molino Avenue

A resident in the area returned home and found a man in his bedroom going through his wife's purse.

An adult male was arrested for a burglary in the 2400 block of El Molino Avenue on Thursday afternoon, according to Sgt. Debra Herman of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

A resident in that area came home and found the man sitting in his bedroom going through his wife's purse, Herman said.  Detectives confirmed he had removed items from the purse and had them on him when searched.

The victim told the intruder to sit and wait for the police, and he complied.

Herman said it is possible the suspect may have some sort of mental health issues.  

She said she did not immediately have his name and other information Thursday.  As of Thursday night, he was in police custody.
