Kim was airlifted to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena for a medical examination.

She had not been heard from since she made a cell phone call to a a friend around 6 p.m. Thursday to say she was lost in the mountains, said Arcadia police Lt. Bob Anderson.

The woman had told her friend she could not describe where she was, except that there was a waterfall nearby, added Deputy Dan Paige of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Altadena Station.

Anderson said Kim was last seen around 8 a.m. Thursday, when her mother dropped her off at a bus stop in Arcadia. The Pasadena City College student was en route to the campus.
