Missing Elderly Woman Located After Long Search

Altadena Search & Rescue Team and Montrose Search & Rescue Team helped search for an 82-year-old woman with medical problems reported missing Monday morning. She was found in the Pasadena area.

The search for an elderly woman with medical problems ended successfully Tuesday night after a search by multiple agencies in different cities.

On Monday at 11:30 a.m. an 82-year-old woman was reported missing. At 2 p.m. Tuesday, Altadena Search & Rescue Team & Montrose Search & Rescue Team were activated to search for her near her home and Eaton Canyon trails where she frequently visited, the Altadena Sheriff’s Station shared on its facebook page Wednesday.

Two scent dogs were also deployed to track her steps, which lead them to the Eaton Canyon area, where the scent was lost, the Sheriff’s Station noted.

Patrol Units from Temple, Santa Clarita, and Crescenta valley Stations and Altadena Station volunteers, were also called in to assist in the search effort.

After a long search, Altadena Station received a phone call from Pasadena Police Department at 9 p.m. Tuesday that they had located the missing woman in the Pasadena area.

“She was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries and reunited with her family,” the Sheriff’s Station reported.
