Monday Rain Update: Retaining Wall Collasped in Altadena, But No Homes Threatened

Altadena has seen about 5-6 inches in rain since Thursday.

Updated 8:30 p.m.: A retaining wall collapsed near the intersection of Woodglen Lane and Tanoble Drive, according to Sgt. Michael Stuvert of the Altadena Sheriff's Station.  Mud has spilled onto the road, but no homes are at threat and the county public works department is cleaning up the mess, he added.  Stuvert said he believes the wall was on private property, but was not certain.

Updated 9:36 p.m.: The wall is on private property at the top of Woodglen Lane and the bricks and the mud are still on the road, but it does not look like it will pose any threat to people or property in the area.

With the third day of heavy rain under way, flash flood warnings are still in effect for Station Fire burn areas and the rest of Los Angeles County.
