Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Crashing Into Pole

The extent of the rider's injuries was not known, according to CHP.

A motorcyclist crashed into a pole near the area of West Altadena Drive and Lincoln Avenue Saturday afternoon, and the rider is now at the hospital, according to an officer at the CHP as well as the CHP traffic logs.

The incident occurred at 2:30 p.m., according to the CHP, and a tow truck service towed away the rider's motorcycle at around 3 p.m.. A CHP officer told Patch that the officer on scene headed to Huntington Memorial Hospital shortly after 3 p.m. to check on the rider. The extent of the rider's injuries and the cause of the crash is still not known.
