Mountain Bikers Lost Overnight in Switzer Falls Area

Local search and rescue teams searched for a pair of mountain bikers overnight Sunday evening and found them Monday morning around dawn.

Two mountain bikers went missing overnight in the mountains above Altadena on Sunday night, but were found uninjured by rescuers Monday morning, according to Capt. Mike Parker of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Search and rescue teams from Altadena, Montrose, and Sierra Madre all assisted in looking for the pair, who were found in the Switzer Falls area.

The call for the missing hikers came in around 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, according to Parker, and they were located around 5:15 a.m. Monday.

Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopters were used in the search, according to Parker.
