Nobody Talking in Friday Night Shooting Near Loma Alta Park

Detectives have been unable to find out any information about who might have shot a man in his early 20s at a party near Loma Alta Park on Friday night.

Detectives have been unable to get any answers about who might have shot a young man at a house party near Loma Alta Park, according to Lt. Duane Allen of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The shooting happened outside a party in the 500 block of W. Palm Street, according to Allen.  Deputies responded to a call of shots fired and arrived a the party and found a man in his early 20s had been shot in the back with a non-life-threatening wound.

The victim was transported to the hospital but would not tell detectives who shot him.  Detectives were told that someone was firing shots in the air outside the party and the victim was hit by one of the shots.

Allen said that the shooting does not appear to be gang-related and so far, detective have not found any link between that shooting and .  They have also not established any link between this shooting and the , though the two locations are only blocks apart.
