UPDATED: Two Men Arrested After Brief Pursuit in Altadena

UPDATE, 6:36 p.m.: The second outstanding suspect sought after a brief pursuit was found and arrested nearby in Pasadena, said Lieutenant Brian Fitch of the Altadena Sheriff's Station.

The driver of the black Chevy Impala was reportedly wanted in a gang-related shooting that happened in Altadena three months ago, Fitch said.

The pursuit started as an attempt to pull over an alleged drunk driver in the 600 block of West Hariett Street. An occupant fled the Impala on foot, but was quickly apprehended, Fitch said.

The driver continued a short distance and fled the Impala. The suspect broke the perimeter, but was later found in the 800 block of Mentone Avenue in Pasadena around 4:20 p.m., Fitch said.

The suspects are awaiting being booked at the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station, Fitch said.

PREVIOUSLY: Altadena Station deputies have set up a perimeter after a brief pursuit ended, Friday afternoon, a Sheriff's Lieutenant said.

The brief pursuit began around 3:20 p.m. One suspect is in custody and deputies are searching for another, said Lieutenant Brian Fitch of the Altadena Sheriff's Station.

Fitch was unable to confirm more information as the situation is still unfolding, but according to Sheriff's broadcast traffic the two suspects were in a black Chevy and possibly ran from the vehicle. Deputies are also focusing on an address on Harriet Street.

It was not immediately known if both suspects were in the pursuit vehicle.
