Pasadena Man and Woman Arrested for 1997 Altadena Murder

A Blood gang member linked to other crimes and a gang affiliate were arrested Tuesday, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

A Pasadena man and woman were arrested Tuesday in connection with a 1997 fatal shooting of an Altadena man, the San Gabriel Valley Tribune reported Wednesday

Blood gang member Darryl Lamont Johnson, also known as Darryl Callum, 38, of Pasadena, and Dominique Raquel Evans, 41, of Pasadena are accused of killing Johnis Jackson, 18, a member of an Altadena street gang.

The shooting took place June 21, 1997 at Fair Oaks Avenue and Harriet Street while Jackson was walking back to his car with a friend and is believed to have resulted from an argument regarding possibly stolen CDs, a detective told the Tribune.

The arrests come two weeks after the Pasadena Star-News reported detectives and loved ones were still looking for more information from the public about Jackson’s killer or killers.
