Pasadena Teens Arrested for Altadena Home Burglary

While conducting a marijuana possession investigation Tuesday, Pasadena Police officers detained two 17-year-old males and found they had items with them that had been allegedly stolen in an Altadena residential burglary.

The Altadena Sheriff's Station released the following information about residential burglary suspects that were detained and arrested around noon Tuesday:

Pasadena Police Department Officers detained two juvenile subjects in the city of Pasadena while conducting a marijuana possession investigation on or near the campus of John Muir High School. During the course of their investigation, officers discovered the subjects were in possession of women’s jewelry, an Apple I-Pad and an Apple I-Phone. It was learned the property had been stolen in a residential burglary that occurred in the 3200 block of Thurin Avenue in nearby Altadena that had not yet been reported.

After being notified of the detention, the victim quickly reported the burglary to Altadena Station Deputies. The victim was transported to the school where she identified her property along with the two individuals that she had seen loitering around her home shortly before the burglary occurred.

Both subjects were taken into custody by Altadena Station Deputies. Both were booked for residential burglary and eventually released to family members.
Both are scheduled to appear in Pasadena Court in January for arraignment.
