Updated: One Teen Burglary Suspect Arrested, One Escaped

Police are looking for two burglary suspects in the neighborhood around Sacramento and Marengo. Multiple deputies, cars, and a helicopter are involved in the search.

Updated 8:05 p.m: The suspect detained by police is 14-years-old and may be released to the custody of his parents, according to Lt. Angela Shephard of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The second suspect escaped the deputy search, she said.  The home that was burglaized was near the Marengo and Sacramento intersection and the boy was caught in the 100 block of Sacramento.

The two suspects had opened the window and started to enter the home when they were caught.  They did not actually remove any items from the home.

The 14-year-old was found hiding in a nearby back yard about 45 minutes after the search began.

Updated 6:50 p.m: One suspect has been detained on Sacramento St, while the search for the other continues.

Original: Sheriff's Department deputies are looking for two burglary suspects in an incident that took place in the vicinity of Marengo and Woodbury shortly before 6 p.m.

The department has set up containments around several blocks in the area, according to Deputy Portillo of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, and there may be traffic disruption around the area.
