Red Flag Warning in Effect for Altadena
With the possibility of dry lightning and thunderstorms, the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for LA County mountains, valleys, and deserts.
According to the National Weather Service, as a weak low pressure system moves through the area tonight and Wednesday, there’s the potential for lightning and thunderstorms which will produce little if any rain.
Due to the low moisture levels and dry vegetation throughout the Southland, the National Weather Service says, “Fire weather concerns are high.”
The dry lightning and thunderstorms are likely to move inland overnight and early Wednesday morning. The Red Flag Warning remains in effect until 5 p.m., Wednesday.
