Update: Burglary Suspect Search Concluded

The Sheriff's Department searched for a burglary suspect in the vicinity of the intersection of Sinaloa and New York Drive Monday afternoon, but did not find the crime suspects.

Updated: Lt. Duane Allen of the Sheriff's Department told Patch that as of 2:30 p.m. the search has been concluded.  The department initally found one suspect and has taken in him for questioning.  He has not been arrested at this time and police are not certain whether he is the guilty party or not, Allen said.

The department was looking for up to two additional suspects, but after more than an hour of searching, the police containtment has been called off, he said.

Original: Sheriff's Department deputies are searching for a burglary suspect who was reported coming out of a home in eastern Altadena, according to Lt. Becker of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station.

According to radio transmissions between officers in the area and the department, it appears police have been searching as far north as Morada Place, just south of the Altadena Town and Country Club.

The search was still active as of 1:10 p.m. and there may be more than one suspect involved in the crime, according to radio reports.
