Sheriff's Department Arrest Burglary Suspect Following Tip

The arrest went down on Monday for a burglary that occurred in August.

Detectives at the Altadena Sheriff's Station arrested a suspected burglar this week after following up on a tip received by detectives.

Deon Mejia, 30, of Altadena was arrested on September 18 for a burglary that took place at a home in the 100 block of West Mendocino on August 24, according to an email sent out by Lt. Michael White of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The victim of the burglary was home at the time the crime occurred and after the victim's dog barked, he was alerted to the burglar's presence, according to White.
