Updated Storm Watch: Flash Flood Warning Still in Effect for Tonight

The highest intensity period are still expected to be Saturday night and Sunday afternoon to evening.

 Heavy rain has continued to fall over night Saturday and into Sunday, and is forecast to be heaveist late Sunday afternoon and evening.

Whiulehe county of public works is forecasting that there will be no serious mud flows in Foothill areas, the National Weather Service outlook still lists mud flows as being possible in Station Fire burn areas as part of its flash flood advisory..

Residents should also stay out of areas where there could be high water, like the stream bed of the Hahamonga Watershed Park and Eaton Canyon.

The Angeles Forest Highway will also be closed starting at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning because of possible hazardous debris flows.

A period of heavy rain is expected Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening, but rain is forecast to continue to fall through Wednesday.  By that point, there could be significant snow accumulation in the mountains, and thunderstorms are possible Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the weather service.
