17 Apply for Town Council—Candidate Forum Tuesday Night

The Altadena Town Council election will be held Saturday, June 8.

By Friday’s application deadline, 17 people had applied for Altadena Town Council, the Altadena Town Council Election Committee announced.  

“Seven out of the eight open seats have more than one candidate, and the remaining CT (Census Tract), 4603.02, has no candidate,” the committee said in a statement.  

Candidates still have to be approved by the Election Committee and accepted by Town Council at its monthly meeting on May 21 at 7 p.m. at the Altadena Community Center, 730 East Altadena Drive. Polling sites and hours and a Pre-Election polling site will also be announced.  

A candidate forum will kick off campaigning and take place at the May 21 ATC meeting, where each candidate can speak for three minutes.
