210 Freeway Construction to Last Through 2012

Construction is now underway and will be carried out from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. most nights.

The 210 Freeway will be undergoing extensive resurfacing and off-ramp work for more than one year, according to Marcia Graves, a spokeswoman for the Caltrans state road agency.

The work will go on through the section closest to Altadena residents, in Pasadena, all the way out to the exits in La Verne.

The work is expected to last until the Fall of 2012, according to Graves, and will mean periodic lane and off-ramp closures in areas all along the freeway.
