Altadena and Eaton Canyon Golf Courses Changing Management

The new management agreement will benefit Los Angeles County an estimated $775,000 in golf course revenues.

As of Nov. 1, the Altadena and Eaton Canyon Golf Courses will be under new management, blogger Victor Caballero mentioned in his blog on Sunday.

According to a 239-page document from the County of Los Angeles Parks and Recreation that was adopted by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Oct. 16, a five-year lease agreement has been awarded to O&J Management—the highest-ranked bidder—for the management, operation and maintenance of the courses.

Current lease agreements with DC Golf, Inc. expire on Nov. 30 2014, but DC Golf is behind in its rent obligations to the LA County Department of Parks and Recreation, the document states.

In September 2011, the Department issued a 10-day Notice of Default to DC Golf for the golf courses and last month the Department notified DC Golf that they were cancelling the lease agreements between them.

The five-year agreement between O&J Management and LA County will benefit the County an estimated $350,000 in golf course revenues for the Altadena Golf Course and estimated $425,000 in golf course revenues for the Eaton Canyon Golf Course.

Current public services will not be affected by the agreement, according to the County document.
