Angeles Forest Road to Reopen Monday Afternoon

The Angeles Forest Highway and Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road, which were closed on account of winter weather, will be reopened by Monday at 5 p.m.

The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works announced in the press release that the following roads in the Angeles National Forest will be reopened by 5 p.m. on Monday:

  •   Angeles Forest Highway from Aliso Canyon Road to Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road
  •  Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road from Angeles Forest Highway to SR-2 (Angeles Crest Highway)

The roads had been closed because of winter conditions.

The department is advising all motorists use caution when traveling all mountain roads during the winter as icy conditions may be present.

I agree with Lisa. The home page is a mess. The distracting big banner at the top needs to go, or…Read More perhaps the way the rest of the page is inset into it. It's a major design fail. Plus there's very little up-to-date news, the articles are old, and I can't be bothered to search through the blogs and boards, interesting though they may be. Thank goodness Altadenblog is still there. It's now my go-to site for current Altadena news.
