Assemblyman Holden to Participate in Social Media Forum for Parents and Teens

Holden will team up with Facebook and Assembly Members Ed Chau and Roger Hernandez on the event at 6 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Sierra College.

The following news release is provided by Assemblyman Chris Holden, D-Pasadena

It’s what teens do; hang out and share everything online.  But parents fear their kids will interact with older strangers who might harm them or that posts made as a teen could come back to haunt them years later when they apply to college or a job.

That’s why Assemblymember Chris Holden is teaming up with Facebook and Assemblymembers Ed Chau and Roger Hernández on a Safety and Privacy Workshop.  It’s free and open to the public!

What: How to Keep Teens Safe on Facebook
Date: Thursday, November 21 at 6 p.m.
Place: Mt. Sierra College Auditorium, 101 E. Huntington Drive, Monrovia

Facebook recently changed it privacy settings for teens. Parents, teens and community members will learn about reporting tools, new privacy settings and bullying prevention.
