County Cites Newspaper Boxes for Lack of Permit (Photos)

Altadena resident Camille Dudley sent in the following photos showing newspaper racks that county officials say are unpermitted and must be removed.

The above photos show several newspaper boxes in front of the that have been designated by the county as illegal.

Altadena resident Camille Dudley wrote the county, and the photos were posted on a local email group and reproduced here with Dudley's permission.

According to the notice placed on the boxes, the racks are unpermitted and must be removed within 10 days.  The citation is signed by a Los Angeles County Department of Public Works inspector.

Publications using the racks include the Los Angeles Times, Pasadena Star-News, and the Los Angeles Daily News.

We will check with the county for more information on why the racks were cited.  Check back later for updates.

Glad to see the county spending their time (& our money) on such pertinent issues.
