County Renews Reward for Information on Brandon Jackson's Murder

The county will continue to seek the public's assistance in helping to track down the killer of John Muir High School student Brandon Jackson.

The County Board of Supervisors renewed a $10,000 reward for information about the fatal shooting of high school football player Brandon Jackson on Tuesday, according to the City News Service.

Jackson, a junior at John Muir high school who played fullback and linebacker, when he was walking home from a party in February.

As described in a previous Patch article, Jackson’s aunt Cynthia Brown noted that .  She noted that her sister, Brandon's mom, died in 2007, and after having straight As in middle school, Brandon started to have trouble in school.

But family and friends said , and had recently significantly improved his grades.

Anyone with information about the shooting has been asked to call homicide Detective Adan Torres at (323) 890-5500.
