County to Hold December Meeting on Street Light Project

County officials intend to replace, repair, or reinstall street lamps on various streets in the south-central area of Altadena. There will be an informational meeting on the project in December.

County officials plan to do streetlight improvement work on street lamps in the south-central area of Altadena, and will hold an informational meeting on the project in December.

Arnel Dulay, of the County Public Works Traffic and Lighting Section, told the Altadena Town Council that the county will be seeking public input on the projects at a 7 p.m. meeting on December 7 at the .

He said the work will be done on the following streets: Layton, Meadowbrook, Allen, New York, and Sinaloa, New York, Midlothian, Minoru, Elizabeth, Oxford, and Dominion.

Those streets have older lighting that needs to be replaced, Dulay said.

The county has not decided on the precise details of how they will be replaced, though he described the work as "maintenance" rather than "reconstruction."

The December 7 meeting will give residents a chance to give input on how the project will be carried out, and the county will have more details on the project at that point, Dulay said.
