Forest Roads To Close Over Safety Concerns

Icy road conditions have forced officials to close the roads early Friday morning.

Officials with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works will close forest roads due to dangerous weather conditions.

Angeles Forest Highway between Aliso Canyon Road and Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road; and Upper Big Tujuna Canyon Road between Angeles Crest Highway and Angeles Forest Highway will be closed at 1 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, officials said in a press release.

Local access to said road will not be permitted until the road closures are lifted, which will occur once the current storm has passed, officials said.

Residents can visit the CARE website, www.dpwcare.org for updates on road conditions and closures and can sign up to receive instant messages through the eNotify system at www.dpw.lacounty.gov.
