1. DCFS Report
Report by the Director of Child and Family Services on the implementation status of the Department's Strategic Plan and budgetary priorities.
2. Authorization of Settlement
Los Angeles County Contract Cities Liability Trust Fund Claims Board's Recommendation: Authorize settlement of the matter entitled Estate of Christian Cobain, et a. v. County of Los Angeles, et al., Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. BC483709 in the amount of $650,000. The lawsuit concerns allegations of excessive force and wrongful death by Sheriff's deputies. County council recommends continuing the item to Oct. 29.
3. Report on a marketing plan
Report by the Chief Executive Officer on a marketing plan to effectively communicate the positive system changes resulting from the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
4. AB 109
Officials will discuss the status of the Public Safety Realignment, AB 109, and its impact on Los Angeles County.
