Public Hearing: Sprint Applying for Wireless Telecommunication Facility at Assisted Living Center

A minor conditional use permit is required to allow the facility on the residential site near the Pasadena-Altadena border.

A public hearing April 3 will help determine whether or not Sprint PCS can have a wireless telecommunications facility at Pasadena Highlands assisted living center.

Pasadena Highlands, located at 1575 East Washington Boulevard at Bresee Avenue between North Hill Avenue and North Allen Avenue, is a residentially zoned site near the border of Pasadena and Altadena.

A public hearing notice posted outside Pasadena Highlands stated this project description:

A minor conditional use permit to allow the co-location of a wireless telecommunication facility on a residentially zoned site. The existing wireless telecommunications use is non-conforming and therefore a minor conditional use permit is required for alterations or expansion of the telecommunications use.

The public hearing for the facility will take place April 3 at 6 p.m. at the Permit Center Hearing Room at 175 North Garfield Avenue Pasadena.
