Schiff Urges Washington To Address Helicopter Noise Over County Skies
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-28th District) wrote to the chairman of the Transportation Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Subcommittee Thursday, urging the subcommittee to consider addressing helicopter noise over Los Angeles County.
In the letter, Schiff asked for the subcommittee to add a provision in any final appropriations bill, directing the Secretary of the Federal Aviation Administration to review and adjust helicopter routes throughout the county to lessen noise over residential areas, according to an article in the Glendale News Press.
"While we are continuing to work with the FAA on voluntary measures, we have to take an 'all of the above' approach to solving the very real issues caused by helicopter noise for homeowners and residents," Schiff said.
