Town Council Preview

On Tuesday's meeting, the council is expected to elect new executive officers, hear a trash report from Athens Services and take action on community identification signs and permits for a water well

There are a couple of items that we'll be watching at Tuesday night's Town Council meeting:

The council will be electing new executive officers for the 2011-2012 year. We'll let you know who will be taking over the offices, including the top spot as Town Council chair Gino Sund steps down.
Thor Schmidt from Athens Services will be giving the council a special report on trash contracts, and we'll report on the details.
Rubio Canyon Land & Water has applied for a permit that would allow the association to construct and operate a water well on 3371 Rubio Canyon Road. The council could action on this item at the meeting.
The council could vote on whether there should be “Welcome to Altadena” signs at the borders of the community.

The Town Council will meet Tuesday, July 19 at 7 p.m. in the Altadena Community Center, 730 East Altadena Drive.
