I wondered if it were legal to have the voting booths labeled by party when it was an Open Primary? Anyone know?
Lisa Hastings June 06, 2012 at 04:41 PM
@ Bette. The open primary is state law and applies only to state offices; it does not apply to the presidential election which is decided by party line in the primary elections. Each of the voting booths were set up by party because each booth's ballot choices contained the corresponding party's presidential candidates. The state candidates and propositions were the same in each voting booth.
