Altadena Schools to Benefit From $7.9 Million Grant

The grant will benefit four magnets in the Pasadena Unified School District.

 

Two Altadena schools will receive money from a $7.9 million Magnet School Assistance Program grant awarded to the Pasadena Unified School District.

Jackson Elementary for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math and a new visual and performance arts magnet at Eliot Middle School will benefit from the grant, which aims to establish or expand magnets at four PUSD schools over the next three years.

Washington School’s STEAM program and its Accelerated Elementary program will also benefit, according to a PUSD release. The grant will benefit nearly 7,000 students over a three-year period.
