Out of 1,500 applicants nationwide, has been awarded the $5,000 Toolbox for Education grant from Lowe's. With the assistance of Lowe’s employees as well as community volunteers, the money will be used to establish an “outdoor classroom,” and transform a classroom patio into “a world of discovery for our students.”
According to Adam Wolfson, Director of Communications for PUSD, Jackson Elementary is now one of the district’s top performers in science, and the new outdoor lab will complement their robust program.
