Aveson Academy To Hold Private Tour, Public Ribbon Cutting
Event to be held at the Global Leadership Academy.
Aveson Charter Schools, which cover Altadena and Pasadena, will host a public ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the Global Leadership Academy Campus, Nov. 16.
A private tour and luncheon by Aveson Executive Director Kate Bean and the new campus's director Larry Simonsen will be provided to special guests at 12:30 p.m. A public ribbon cutting will take place at 2 p.m., followed by a public open house, officials said in a statement.
The event will take place at the new campus, 575 West Altadena Drive.
The Aveson Charter Schools is composed of two public schools serving Altadena and Pasadena-area children in K-12.
Aveson teachers focus on personalized learning, social leadership and healthy living, officials said.
"The new AGLA middle and high school campus is a symbol of our growth and commitment to our mission as well as our focus on a strong, vibrant community," officials said.
