PUSD Candidates Forum to Happen in Altadena

The Altadena Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (ACONA) has teamed with the League of Women Voters Pasadena Area (LWV-PA) to hold a forum where Pasadena Unified School District, District 1 candidates will answer questions.

The next Altadena Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (ACONA) meeting will be a special event as it will be a moderated forum for the two candidates--Hermond Dean Cooper and Kim Kenne--running for Pasadena Unified School District, District 1.

ACONA organizer Elliot Gold sent the following announcement about the upcoming forum:

The Altadena Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (ACONA) has teamed with the League of Women Voters Pasadena Area (LWV-PA) to present a Candidate Forum for District 1 of the Pasadena Unified School District [PUSD] on Wednesday, January 30th from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Altadena Senior Center.

The League will provide a moderator, Marg Nichols, who will preside over the forum and present questions to the two candidates, Hermond Dean Cooper and Kim Kenne, while watching the clock so that each candidate is given equal time to respond to questions. The audience will be invited to submit questions as well, which will be given to representatives of LWV-PA who will select the questions to be asked of both candidates.

In addition to the questions, each candidate will present a brief statement both at the start and the conclusion of the forum.

Voters in Altadena are invited to attend, as 87% of the voters from PUSD School Board District 1 live in Altadena and will be able to vote on March 5.
