Presentation Discusses Common Core Standards' Impact on Special Education Students

With the implementation of Common Core standards in schools, the Special Education Department Community Advisory Committee, consisting of parents and community members of the Pasadena Unified School District, will host a workshop on how the standards will affect special education students.

The presentation, “Common Core and Special Education: What it Means for Your Student,” is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 16 at 8:30 p.m. at the Elbie J. Hickambottom Board Room, PUSD Education Center Room #236, 351 S. Hudson Ave., Pasadena. The presentation will feature Dr. Gisele Ragusa, director of Teacher, K-12 and Community Education at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering.
