PUSD Board Meeting Preview: 63 Teachers Could Be Laid Off

The board will officially decide Tuesday night whether to issue layoff notices for dozens of teachers, librarians, and principals.

At Tuesday's night meeting the Pasadena Unified School Board will discuss whether or not to issue 63 layoff notices to certificated staff, which includes teachers, librarians, teacher aides, and principals.

Last year, for example, 160 notices were issued, but far fewer employees were actually laid off.
