The Aveson Global Leadership Academy will hold a ribbon cutting and open house tours Saturday, Nov. 16.
The ribbon cutting begins at 2 p.m., followed by the tours. Guests can see the facilities and meet Aveson students and their families. On hand will be Kate Bean, Aveson executive director, as well as Altadena Town Council Representatives Judy Matthews and Damon Hobdy.
Demonstrations include healthy snacks for kids by Joseph Shuldiner, founder/director of the Altadena Farmer’s Market and Institute for Domestic Technology, recycling and zero waste activities by Grades of Green, plus water conservation and watershed protection demonstrations and information on summer language and cultural exchange programs.
The Aveson Global Leadership Campus is located at 575 West Altadena Drive.
